Keurig® OfficePRO® Single-Cup Commercial Coffee Brewer {Product Review}

Full disclosure, Staples.com provided me with this Keurig OfficePRO Coffee Brewer for the purpose of this review. This post is written by me.  All opinions are 100% mine.  You can read my advertising & disclosure policy HERE.  To see the full line of Keurig brewers and K-cups, visit Staples.

My dedicated readers might be a little confused as to why I am reviewing a Coffee Brewer when I have made it pretty clear that I am Mormon, & we don't drink certain things like alcohol or coffee.  I want to let you all know, no coffee was comsumed during this product review.  I let the nice people at Staples know that I am not a coffee drinker, but would love to test it out for the hot chocolate & they were happy to oblige.  I was also pleasantly surprised to find that K-cups are available for Celestial Seasonings Tea, which I drink if it's the herbal tea that is caffeine free & doesn't have black or green tea in it.
I am actually quite surprised with how much I liked this machine.  When I was considering doing this product review I was thinking, "What am I going to do with this machine after I run out of hot chocolate?  I doubt I will use it that much that I will want to keep it around.  Who can I gift it to?"  Then I got the machine, & pulled it out of it's box.  It's so pretty!  It just looks really nice.  I followed the quick start directions to prime the Keurig for use & then brewed a fresh cup of Swiss Miss Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa.  My son was extremely excited even though it was like 80+ degrees Fahrenheit outside, which is very hot to be drinking hot chocolate.

Aside from the hot chocolate being really HOT, too hot for myself or my kids to sip on comfortably without the addition of 1 ice cube, this machine is pretty cool.  Maybe coffee drinkers like to drink really hot coffee?  Like I said I wouldn't know, I don't drink coffee & I have never had coffee in my entire life.  Anyway, the Keurig is mostly quiet until it refills with more water to heat up & it makes a little buzzing noise, but it's not awful.

The Keurig OfficePRO Coffee Brewer is easy to fill with water in the side compartment & has 3 different brew quantities to choose from: 6oz, 8oz, or 10oz.  You simply place a K-cup of your choice into the specified area (watch out for the sharp needles) then close the compartment.  It punctures the cup on top & bottom.  Then you press the brew button & it sends the water through the cup & into your mug.  It does splatter a teensy bit so stand back.  Voila!  Done!  I thought it was so cool.

I almost wish I would have had this machine back in December when I had a cookie exchange party for my friends with hot chocolate to drink.  I had used a stock pot full of milk & powdered cocoa mix.  The milk burned a little in the bottom of the pot; it was just hard to keep warm without burning it.  If I had this little machine then, everyone could have brewed a fresh cup of their own.  I could have even had add-ins like those flavored syrups, marshmallows, & whipped cream.  Think about it!

Anyway, I really do like this machine.  In my opinion, for people like myself, the non-coffee drinker, I would probably say don't buy it because I personally don't think you would get enough use out of it.  But, if this is something you can use in your house or office, on a regular basis, then I would recommend it.  It's not too large & does a great job of providing a personal, hot drink quickly.

*I guess I didn't do my research that well, but my friend Jenn at the Real Housewives of Riverton apparently got to review this machine as well, & she found out that there are also K-cups for apple cider & lemonade along with the hot chocolate!!!  Hooray!!!  I guess I can use this machine more than I thought!  Here is Jenn's post if you want another opinion on whether or not you should purchase a Keurig.
